This house lift and remodel transformed an original one-story kit home ("The Rodessa" according to the original ad) into three stories with four bedrooms and four bathrooms.  Sustainable elements incorporated include radiant heat, tankless water heaters, pre-wiring for photo-voltaic, plumbing for a (future) solar thermal tank, and FSC-certified hardwoods.  

The interior is replete with tiger wood floors, custom cabinetry by a local green cabinetmaker, elegant drop beams and tapered columns, generous window seats, and a back deck that offers territorial views of a charming Greenlake neighborhood.  This home has been featured by Northwest EcoBuilding Guild’s annual Green Building Slam and Green Remodel Homes Tour.  You can read about it in the Seattle PI here.
