Dazzling Mid Century In Blue Ridge

MCM Architecture Meets a Modern Upgrade

All the right elements were here, waiting to shine — sweeping views of Puget Sound, tongue and groove ceilings with exposed beams, light and airy spaces undergirded by solid mid-century bones. This whole-home remodel in Seattle was simply about bringing the house into its full glory.

We deepened the connection to those iconic Sound views with La Cantina folding doors and windows that dissolve the boundary between inside and out. Horizontally matched white oak cabinetry runs throughout the home, with custom built-ins that feel as though they were always there. The kitchen was fully remodeled around a dramatic waterfall quartzite countertop — a centerpiece worthy of the setting. All five bathrooms were reimagined from the ground up, each one a considered space rather than an afterthought.

New skylights pull additional light deep into the home, and a new stair handrail brings quiet refinement to the vertical journey between floors. A newly redesigned entry sets the right tone from the moment you arrive.

Below grade, an unfinished basement became some of the most useful square footage in the house — a proper office and media room that give the home genuine depth, literally and figuratively.

The result is a Seattle mid-century remodel that finally lives up to what it always promised.
