Tale of two Designers & one builder

Right when much of the world was entrenching itself in remote work, Blue Sound had the opportunity to build out two exquisite offices for reputable designers. We hope it shows our versatility! You can build anything with the right craftsmanship at your disposal.

The first, Duncan McRoberts, is a notable classical architect. His detailed millwork profiles, attention to creating a domestic atmosphere, and thoughtful approach to craft made him a delight to build for. The collaboration turned a bland commercial space into a warm, inviting atelier for dreaming up a next home, coastal chateau, or preparatory school. Photos credit: Duncan McRoberts. The other office, for Michelle Dirkse Interior Design, took a “live work” space and turned it into a vibrant office complete with kitchenette, showroom bathroom (featuring her signature floating vanity, lavender marble tile, and walk in shower with stone casing), built in cabinetry, wallpaper rolls, and all new windows and doors. The front office features bold wallpaper, made by the designer, along with a neon tagline. Photos credit: Kara Mercer.

These offices show that in the design world, “return to work” casts an entirely different vision.
